Bernard R. Given II is a shareholder of the firm where he specializes in Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation. Mr. Given has represented Debtors, Creditors, and Creditors' Committees in cases throughout the United States. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984 and his JD from the University of Southern California in 1987. Mr. Given is licensed to practice law in California and Texas, and the Fifth, Sixth and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Given currently serves on the Bankruptcy Sub-Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Given was a contributing editor to the 1988 through 2000 Supplements to Secured Transactions in California Commercial Law Practice. Mr. Given also served (by appointment) on the Local Rules Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas. Mr. Given is an AV Rated (the highest rated available) by Martindale Hubbell and has been voted a Super Lawyer in both Texas and Southern California. Mr. Given is also an appointed member of the Texas Bar Foundation. Mr. Given previously served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas in El Paso where he taught Legal Research.
