Career Highlights - Reported Cases: Shamsian v. Atlantic Richfield Co. (2003) 107 Cal. App. 4th 967 (as a matter of first impression, the court held that a cause of action for civil penalties brought under the civil enforcement provision of Proposition 65 is subject to a one-year limitation period); Consumer Advocacy Group, Inc. v. Kintetsu Enterprises of America (2005) 129 Cal. App. 4th 540, review granted, 34 Cal. Rptr. 3d 657 (a notice of violation of Proposition 65 must be specific enough to inform the targeted respondent of the nature of the alleged violation, but superfluous material in a notice does not invalidate an otherwise lawful notice; court also held that Proposition 64 (unfair competition law) should not be applied retroactively)
