Tamara Manask specializes in business, commercial and intellectual property litigation. An experienced trial lawyer, Ms. Manask represents clients in litigation matters in state, federal and bankruptcy courts that involve business tort actions, real estate litigation, unfair competition and creditor's rights. She has significant experience in trademark, copyright, trade secret, and
e-commerce disputes in business and entertainment law. Ms. Manask also counsels clients on the enforcement and protection of their intellectual property rights, including brand development, acquisitions, negotiations, licensing, distribution and financing agreements.
Ms. Manask was named a 2007 Rising Star by Law and Politics Magazine and was listed in Los Angeles Magazine as among the top 2.5% of the best up and coming attorneys in Southern California.

Ms. Manask was a contributing author for Advising and Defending Corporate Directors and Officers, California Continuing Education of the Bar (update 2002, 2003). She has written extensively on employment law and intellectual property issues, including "There's a Way to Protect Your Great Ideas From Theft," SFV Business Journal, September 26, 2006; "All 'Dolled Up' and Ready to Work"; "California Supreme Court Holds That Employee's Failure To Report Harassment To Employer Limits Damages," and "Congress Passes Federal Anti-Spam Law: How Will It Affect Your Company," Martindale-Hubbell 2005-2006.
Ms. Manask was the featured speaker at a program for the Intellectual Property, Entertainment and Internet Law Section of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association on the topic of "Idea Protection Under Implied Contract Theory" She has also lectured on trademarks and branding basics for attorneys.
Education and Honors
Ms. Manask was born in Montreal, Canada. She received her B.A. from the University of British Columbia, her L.L.B from Robson Hall, University of Manitoba Faculty of Law, and her L.L.M., cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Manask was an editor and member of the board of management for the University of Manitoba Law Journal.
Ms. Manask served as the first clerk to the Manitoba Court of Appeals, under the Chief Justice of Manitoba, the Honorable Richard J. Scott.
Ms. Manask is the recipient of numerous awards including the B. Dubrienski International Masters of Law Scholarship, the Neil J. MacDonald Award in Criminal Law, the Canada Law Book Company Prize in Family Law, the Solomon Greenberg Advocacy Honor List and the Aikins MacAulay Thorvaldson Merit Scholarship.
